The first image in the Purple Light of Hope series is a simple still life study, with the subject bathed in purple light. Throughout the world pancreatic charities and healthcare organisations have adopted purple as their colour, and during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month organisations such as Pancreatic Cancer UK, Pancreatic Cancer Scotland and other members of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition are raising awareness of the disease, of its symptoms, of the support that is a available and also of what needs to be done to improve the outcome for patients.
The letters PP before the number written across the top of this microcope slide stand for Precision Panc, a unique initiative which uses a single overarching protocol to give patients from throught the country an oportunity to participate in one the Precision Panc lead clinical trials, allowing for development in treatment and providing real hope of change in outcome.
